Woolworths Petrol has a range of Learning and Development programs in place to ensure our employees are well equipped to meet the challenges of our business.
As a new employee your training commences with our off and on job induction programs where we concentrate on giving you the knowledge you need to make a positive start in our team. Our initial priority is to provide you with information to assist you staying safe at work. We then start to orientate you to the requirements of your new role.
Safety training is an important component of our learning and development programs and as your career progresses you will participate in more advanced forms of safety training. We also offer a range of management and leadership programs that we provide to our employees as their careers progress to more senior roles.
Woolworths Petrol also offers nationally accredited certificate level programs to selected employees. The following programs are currently on offer:
Certificate III in Retail Operations
The Certificate III in Retail Operations helps prepare targeted employees for management roles. Through a combination of on and off job training over a 2 year period employees undertake training and education in areas such as: Supervising Your Team, Your Stock on Show, Your Safety, Serving Your Customer and Staffing your Department.
Certificate IV in Woolworths Management
This program is aimed at existing Assistant Site Managers and Site Managers. The program has been tailored to meet the needs of Woolworths Petrol and includes modules in the following areas: Day to Day Management, Recruiting & Selecting Your Team, Safety the Woolworths Way and Know Your Market.
